YOUNG TOURISTS.
AUSTRALIAN & NEW ZEALAND BOYS VISIT: TQ. UNITED STATES NEW YORK, March 13. The party of ypuing Australians and New Zealanders arrived here to-day for a. ton days’ stay, and judging from their programme they will be crowded days. They were met by the committee of the -Chamber of Commerce, the English-Speaking Union, and > the Rotary Club, and met their hoists, at whose homes they will stay. They will receive the (freedom of the city from Mayor Walker to-mofra’ow, and in the evening will -be the guest,s of honour at a dinner given by Mr Dow, the Australian Trade Commissioner. Their sightseeing schedule is a heavy one, while they have received so many invitations for eiitertainmeint that they will be able to accept only a small por'tion of them. This being the theatrical centre of America, they will attend Various performances, particularly those of juvenile interest. The Boys’ dub Federation of America is giving the youngsters a special luncheon, and i rrangements have been made for swimming contests between the visitors and other New York Club boys, this being virtually the sole sport common to both, and in which contests could be arranged. The party depart for New England on March 24.—(Australian Press Association.)
