BIG FIRE.
, TWELVE HUNDRED HOUSES DESTROYED. NO CASUALTIES REPORTED.(Received Friday, 8.15 p.m.) TOKIO, March 14. The troops were called out to assist the firemen to suppress a conflagration at Issioka, a town north-east of Tokio. The fire took place during a violent gale, which raged all night long. Twelve hundred houses were burned, as well as the post office. No casualties are reported.—(Australian Press Association.)
