ARMY CHAMPIONSHIP WON BY LANCE-CORP. SYMONS. SERGT. JANE TAKES CADET BEL' I YESTERDAY’S RESULTS. United Press Association.—By Electri, Telegraph.—Copyright. TRENTHAM, March 13. The Army championship was won by Lance-Corporal A. R. Symons, Hawke’s Bay, with an aggregate of 218. Captain J. Canty, Taranaki and Lieut. K. Duncan, Auckland, each 209, tied for second place, the former winning on the count back. The highest aggregate of the series was that o£ Sergt. F. Hiscock, of the Permanent Staff, 247, but he was ineligible. Last year the honour was secured by Corporal H. Symon (Oamaru), 199. The maximum points obtainable I total 375. I A hundred with an aggregate fron » 247 down to 129 have qualified to fin - for the King’s Medal, presented by Hii I Majesty. The Cadet Champion Bell ! and Gold Jewel was won by Sergt. F ’ Jane (Hawke’s Bay), 182.—(P.A,)
