JAVELIN THROW.
ANOTHER RECORD BY LAY. 213 FEET 2f INCHES. DANNEVIRKE, March 13. S. Lay, the Australasian champion javelin thrower, at the Dannevirke Athletic Club’s meeting to-day, made a throw of 213 feet inches, which exceeds the present record by 7 feet 31 inches. The throw was made against a light southerly wind and was measured by a steel tape by the County Engineer. —(P.A.)
