’PLANE IN MASTERTON.
PASSENGER FLIGHTS TO BE UNDERTAKEN
, An Avro 'plane, under the command iof Capt. G. L. Stedman and Captain iJ. D. Hewett, arrived in Masterton /yesterday afternoon after a splendid i flight from Dannevirke, accomplished •in 55 minutes. The 'plane is owned , ( by the Goodwin Chichester Aviation .Co, Ltd., who aro sole agents for Aviso machines. The object of the company is to boost aviation, which was .backward in New Zealand, said Captain Stedman. Canada and Australia. ,he said, had made great advances in ■aviation and its possibility in New Zealand wag almost unlimited. The mach ine will remain in Masterton a week, [•during which time passaugor flights I will lye undertaken, from 9 a.m. to dusk each day. One passenger will b< taken for a fight at a time ; at a fee of £1 Is. Longer flights can be arranged if desired, at a fee of £6 6s per hour.. It is stated that, both pilots have had flying experience extending over manv years and although thev are quite cap able of stunt flying that will not, under any circumstances, be undertaken! with passengers.
