MEETING OF THE MASTERTON COMMITTEE The monthly meeting of the general committee of the Masterton A. ana P. Association was held yesterday, Mr W. F. McLaren presiding over a fair attendance of members. Apologies for unavoidable absence were received from several members. ! The Martinborough Women's Best Room Committee wrote thanking the committee for allowing cookery books ito be sold, in aid of the Rest Room ,fund, on People's Day at the Show. |The privilege was much appreciated and had proved remunerative. I The Show caterers wrote enclosing their account, which agreed with the list sent down by the association, •thanking the association for the as'sistance given to them in many ways. I The president said that the catering finances were better this year by about £95 and he thought everyone was very well pleased w T ith the way in which .the catering was carried out. | The secretary of the Wairarapa, Industrial Exhibition Committee, Mr H. J. Fairchild, wrote requesting the association 's advice regarding sideshows. The secretary was asked to supply the information desired. | A letter was received from Mr J. R. Darling, expressing appreciation of the manner in which the English public school boyt, who visted the Masterton Show, were treated by the Associa tiou. | The secretary of the Welliligton Manufacturers’ Aaso elation wrote |thanking the association for the courtesies extended to members of his association who visited the Show, | Messrs W.
