REGARDING NEW
STRUCTURE
, matters bearing on the construction of a new bridge over the River at Te Ore Ore were (flight before the Master ton County Council at its monthly meeting yesterday.
The District Engineer advised that the Main Highways Board had decided to pay a subsidy of £3 for £1 on expenditure in excess of £10,060. The Castlepoint County Council wrote expressing its appreciation of the favourable consideration extended to it by not citing the council in connection with the cost of construction of the Ruamahanga River Bridge at Te Ore Ore. A letter was received from the Masterior. Borough Council confirming its offer of June 22, 1927, accepting liability to the extent of 10 per cent, of the cost of erection of the bridge. The engineers confirmed the action of adding £5O to the estimate for the purports of acquiring land.
