HELP FOR SOLDIERS.
MEETING OF CLAIMS BOARD
The fortnightly meeting of the Claims Board of the Wairarapa Patriotic Association was held in Mas-ter-ton yesterday. Mr G. C. SummereU presided, and there were also present, Messrs D. K. Logan and L. S. Nicol. Apologies for absence were accepted from Messrs D. McGregor and J. M. ■Coradine.
At the request of a soldier who had fallen in arrears with his loan payments, his account was held over for three months. The case of a soldier who had disposed of property under security to the association without the board’s permis*sion, was referred to the association’s solicitor to deal with.
Nine applications from partially and permanently di-sabled soldiers for temporary financial assistance were dealt with.
