TEAM FOR THIRD TEST. FIRST SELECTION. EIGHTEEN PLAYERS CHOSEN. (Special to Press Association.) PORT ELIZABETH, August 13. The New Zealand Rugby team for the third Test with South Africa, to be played at Port Elizabeth next Saturday, will be selected from the following players:— Full-back.—Lindsay. Three-quarters.— Lucas, Rofcilliard, Carleton, Grenside. Five-eighths. — Lilburne, Nicholls, Johnson. Aialf-iback.—Dailey. Wing-forward.—Stewart. Forwards.—Burrows, ‘Swain, Hadley, M. Brownlie, Alley, Finlayson, Hazlett, McWilliams. Mr. V. H. Neser, who was the referee of the first two Tests, has been chosen to- act again in the Third Test. THE “LOOSE HEAD. ’ RULING ON MATTER REQUESTED. POET ELIZABETH, August 13. The manager of the Springbok team has raised a doubt about the legality of the New Zealand “loose head” forward in the scrum. He has decided to place the rules before the South African Rugby Football Board, and to, ask for a ruling. The New Zealanders are confident that no objection can be made to playing of a “loose head” in the front tow, as in second Test. The All Blacks propose to pack the same scrum as in the second Test, with the “loose head” in the front row. It worked effectively at Johannesburg, but it is expected that there will be some sort of counter from the Springboks.
