VARIETY ENTERTAINMENT.
HAMUA GLEE PARTY AND "ZARA” A varied and entertaining programme was presented at the Masterton Opera House last night by the Hamua Glee Party and "Zara,’' a magician. Poi dances have a charm of their own and those- given by the/Hamua Troupe last night were most attractively rendered with much grace ana rhythm. Zara held the attention of the audience with many mystifying tricks recently acquired on a trip, abroad. J. McAnally pleased with an* exhibition of the, real Charleston and a whistling solo. The coon comedians, Bella Moms and J. dispensed wholesome humour and Miss May Carroll used her soprano voice to effect in her rendition of Little Maroi Home.” J. Him ana, who has e good tenor voice, contributed several songsl The comedian of the evening, J. Karaitiana. caused muclj amusement. Belos, tnos and quartette? given by members ot the Hamua Glee Party were well interpreted and added much to the evening’s entertainment
