OUTBREAK OF FIRE.
MASTERTON HOUSE SLIGHTLY DAMAGED The Masterton Fire Brigade was summoned at 3 o’clock yesterday afternoon to an outbreak of fire in a dwelling, 34 Perry Street, occupied by Mr. G. A. Sutherland. The brigade was promptly on ths scene and the fire suppressed before much damage was done. The < outbreak, it is stated, was due to a painter’s blow lamp igniting the weather boards in the front of the house, the lining and paper of a room ©.lso catching fire.
