MEAT FREEZING.
WAIRARAPA COMPANY’S YEAR. The third annual report of the directors of the Wairarapa Frozen Meat Company Limited, states that all last season’s meat has been shipped out, and the works are being thoroughly overhauled for the epming season. The company will, as usual, freeze only on account of farmers and exporters, and will not purchase on its own account. The exporters who usually freeze at Waingawa will again be operating. After making allowance for depreciation and income tax, the net profit for the year is £2198 19s ffff, which, added to the amount of £4732 Ils Bfl carried forward from last year makes a total credit of £6931 Ils sd, which the directors propose to carry forward. Messrs W. D. Hunt, A. McDonald, D. Allan, and R. McLeod, the retiring directors, have been renominated without opposition. The report adds that everything points to the company having an increased output this season as the number of clients has appreciably increased each year, and the season for stock raising has so far been most favourable.
The annual meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 26, in the A. and P. rooms, Perry street, Masterton.
