DAIRY INDUSTRY.

THE MAURICEVILLE COMPANY.

The monthly meeting of directors of the Mauriceville Dairy Co. was held yesterday when it was decided to pay out jl/6 for July butter-fat. 'Hie resignation of Mr F. •. Wilueu, a director ef long standing, was accepted with regret. The chairman reported feat already the company had been assured of an increased supply for this season of ever 2flo,ooolbs of butter-fat and that he and the secretary were continually receiving telephone calls regarding fresh .npplies. The factory, he added, was well equipped to cope with this and considerable further quantities. He felt sure that the returns to suppliers during the present season wanld prove most satisfactory as manufacturing charges should be considerably reduced seeing that the company would not have to pay eartage on cream from rail to factory and cn small lots ef butte" for rail. In addition to this the excellent water service that had been arranged would reduce running hosts in keeping the freezer temperature down and with a new '.m.-ret. building the upkeep would be lessened and it would not b_- necessary to ptxxide such heavy charges for depreciation. Taken altogether the present prospects looked bright. Arrangements for the official opening were advanced a further stage and the date is to be announced shortly. The supply is coming in fairly freely at present, giving indication that the season pioper is opening earlier than usual.
