MELBA DECLINES REQUESTS TO RECONSIDER. (Received Tuesday, 7.5 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 4.—Dame Nellie Melba, in an interview in Pans, declared that she had been pressed on all sides to reconsider her decision to retire, but she was finally definitely retiring at the end of the British tour.—(A. and N.Z.)
