THE RUMANIAN HEIR.

NO LIGHT ON MYSTERY. REFUSES TO BE INTERVIEWED. (Press Association—Copyright.) (Received 7.5 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 4.—Lady Drummond Hay, writing to the “Daily Express” from Milan, states that Prince Carol characterises the newspaper reports as lies and infamous propaganda against his family, but refuses to be interviewed or to make a detailed statement. I am astonished that serious newspapers publish fantastic news, which is merely subversive propaganda against my family and myself. This propaganda emanates from a well-known source and •honourable newspapers should not use it. This is all I can say. (Signed), parol.”
