FAREWELL CONCERTS. That music speaks all languages and that art has no nationality have long been accepted as maxims, but there is satisfaction in hearing of the musical success of one of our own race. The day when only those who possessed a name of Continental origin could get a hearing is passing and New Zealand and Australia are justly proud of their contribution of musical stars. Anether has arisen, Miss Ethel Osborn, whose voice is of wonderful range and remarkable purity. She returns to make a farewell tour of both Islands, giving several concerts in the larger eontres. A warm spot will be ever in Miss Osborn’s heart for New Zealand, as it was here that her first great opportunity eame. The musical societies must be proud in having so ably assisted the young soprano when such assistance was of the greatest benefit.
