MASTERTON CLUB. ANNUAL MEETING. About 50 members and supporters attended the meeting at the Masterton Rugby Football Club last evening, Mr G. H. Perry presiding. The report was adopted and the balance sheet was adopted subject to audit. A dr. balance of £3 13/8 was disclosed. The Pahiatua Football Club wrote asking for a match, either senior on a Saturday or junior on ti Wednesday.— Left to the incoming committee. Election of Officers. Maunsell, N. H. James,, E. L. Holmwood, A. H. Daniell, L. A. Wadham, W. G. Lamb, G. W. Sellar and S. R. Gawith; hon. auditor, Mr G. W. Sellar (re-elected); general committee, Messrs S. Murray, A. Golder, JI. Fly, J. O’Dowd, R. Allan, M. Collinge, L; Henry, I. H. Harvey, D. "Pauling, G. Corniek, R. Watson, A. Torrance, R. Smith; hon. secretary, J. Nyhan; delegates to Rugby Union, Messrs W. G. Lamb, A. Torrance, and A. Golder; delegate to Memorial Park Board,' Mr L. A. Wadham; club captain, A. Torrance; senior-coach, R. Cowie; junior, J. Nyhan; third-grade, M. Fly; fourth-grade, R. Watson; fifths, W. C. L. Baskiville; selectors of senior team, for first match, club captain and coach and after that, add the team captain; selectors of other grades the coach and captain of each team. Thirteen new members were elected. It was left to the'general committee to arrange with other clubs as to the lighting of the gymnasium. It was decided to open the season on March 28. The ehairman said that he would like to see the juniors promoted to the seniors. It was the younger men who were going to make for good football and, instead of seeing a player from another season put in on his reputation, he hoped the selectors would promote the good junior players. He would also like to, see the referees very strict, as there was no question that strict refereeing was the foundation of good, clean, football , ■ .
