A meeting of the Wairarapa Cricket Association was held last night, Mr T. Voyce being in the ehair. It was decided to play the Oddfellows v. Druids postponed match on Saturday, and the balance of the teams play in the “knock out” competition. It was left with the chairman and secretary to arrange senior fixtures after the next, round. In the “knock-out” competition after next Saturday winners will play winners. SENIOR FIXTUBES. Masterton v. Carterton, at Carterton. United v. Carlton, Memorial No. 4. High School v. Druids, Memorial Bark No. 1. DOMINION TEAM. PATRICK TO BE CAPTAIN. CHRISTCHURCH, Mar. 12.—The New Zealand Cricket Council has appointed Patrick (Canterbury) captain of the New Zealand team for the first test match against the Victorians. The team will assemble at Wellington next Thursday. C. G. Wilson will act as manager in Wellington, and Hi M. Taylor will be manager of the second test team, which will play in Christchurch a week later.—(P.A.)
