COSY DE LUXE.

“When. A Man's A Man.”

A big treat is promised Cosy patrons tonight. "When a Man’s a klan” is the first of nine Harold 801 l Wright stories which will be given on the silver sheet. It is the first of that nine to be produced by Principal Pictures Corporation as a First National attraction. The theme of the story has to do with the remaking of a nlan —rather the making of a man. An eastern millionaire finds himself dubbed a ‘‘tailor’s dummy”—even by his own sweetheart. He decides to

make a man of himself and win the admiration and respect of his friends'. He leaves his patatial home, dons old clothes, and starts life anew in the cattle country of Arizona— and makes good!John Bowers is given the role to i enaet, and those who have seen his portrayal claim it to be the finest he i has yet given to the screen. Mar- ; guerite de la Motte plays opposite the ■ star, and others of the exceptional • cast include George Hackathorne, [ June Marlowe, Robert Frazer, For- ■ rest Robinson, Charles Mailes, Fred ; Stanton, Edward Hearne and a host of others equally prominent, in filmdom. This picture can only be shown , for two nights. OPERA HOUSE. i The assemblage of film fans that ’ cero wiled the Opera House last night for the opening of the William Fox screen version of Zane Grey ’s “The Lone Star Ranger,” repeatedly gave evidence of its pleasure at the thrilling antics of Tom Mix, the popular hero, who is east in the title role. It seemed as though the virile, robust eowboy had appeared in pqrson and that his followers had turned out to pay him homage. Much credit must go to the unusual “Tony,” Tom’s talented steed, whoso response to his master’s demands of hard-riding is miraculous. Lambert Hillyer, who staged the picture, has developed every element of suspense and excitement that is contained in the noted author’s successful best-seller. In all, . the feature provides the best entertainment that has been seen in this town for many months.
