STUD RAM AND EWE FAIR.
AN ATTRACTIVE OFFERING.
The entries for the annual Wairarapa stud ram and ewe fair, to lie held at Solway on January 14, comprise sheep from all the principal studs of the Wairarapa, and tlris year the fair has expanded its operations by attracting entries from three breeders from outside districts. These are Messrs D. Buick (Palmerston North), W. H. Gibson. (Kiwitea), and I’. Mungavin (Porirua), while the Wairarapa breeders are Messrs G. E. Allen, A. E. Anderson, W. Howard Booth, W. H. Buick and Son, D. R. Daysh, Q. Donald, A. and J. Gray, R. and F. Cray, J. E. Hewitt, Adam" McKay, A. D. McMaster, Percy Bros., W. Perry aud Son, H. J. Rayner, W. Rayner, D. Smith, A. P. Southey, and C. Wagland. Romneys again predominate, there being an entry of 139 rams and 60 ewes. The Lincolns number ‘23 rams, but in the light of the increasing demand for this class of sheep, keen competition is anticipated for the limited number.
In view of the good prices for wool and meat, vendors arc anticipating a good sale.
