SOUTH WAIRARAPA ITEMS. (Our Travelling Reporter.) Por Bisley. A member of the Greytown Rifle Club, Mr Howard Feast, son of Mr V. J. Feast, the well-known rifle shot, of Ahiakouka, has been selected by the National Rifle Association in the 15 from which the team of 10 men is to l»e picked to represent New Zealand at Bisley. The conference representatives of the Greytown Sports’ bodies had with the Borough Council on Tuesday evening should remove any doubt as to the unanimity of leading citizens to provide the town with adequate playing grounds on the Memorial Park. The object is tc concentrate all sport on the one ground, and as the sports bodies have raised a big proportion of the money required for creating playing areas the Council rightly decided to assist in carrying ouf the scheme. Thompson that all prejudices had been removed that he issued a challenge, on behalf of the Sports’ Union, to play the first football match next season on the new ground against the Borough Council. To-morrow a shop day will be conducted r»y tne Sports' Committee and there will be a picture entertainment in the evening. A good programme is to be submitted at the Tivoli this evening, when the proceeds will go to the Citizen’s Queen.
