RECITAL.

BY MISS BARY’S PUPILS. The very high-class programme or selected instrumental and vocal items to be presented by the pupils of Miss A. Bary, L.A.8., and assisting artists, in the Y.M.C.A. Gymnasium to-day in aid of the Association’s electric light fund, is advertised on page 1. The tenor of the recital should bo one of quality, judging By the number of talented performers who are assisting. Among the items are two overtures, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” and “Ruy Blas” (Mendelssohn), 2 pianos, 8 hands, performed by pupils of Miss Bary. These two overtures rank among Mendelssohn'S favourite works, and being quite ne.w to the Masterton audience, they should be delightful numbers. There are piano duos played by the Misses Keedweil, L.T.C.L., and Bary, and Misses T 5. Lee and Bary. Prominent among the artists are Mr E. J. Hcffer, Mr T. C. Wood. L.A.8., Masters S. Petersen and Douglas Edwards.
