i THE QUEENSTOWN OUTRAGE. BITTERLY CONDEMNED. IRELAND’S DANGER. CIVIL GOVERNMENT MENACED. (Received 7.40 p.m.) London, Mar. 24. —The “ Daily Chronicle” says: “Britain has not yet reached the stage of submission that she can pass without comment the outrage at Queenstown. President Cosgrave has already denounced the criminals, and the leaders of all parties, including the recent mutineers have condemned the outrage. We hope the chorus of disapproval will fortify the Government into taking strenuous measures to bring the murderers to justice. Southern Ireland’s supreme danger lies in its army with factions ready to threaten the State with force. “We are disturbed at the fact that the very soldiers who plotted against the Government have been rewarded by the dismissal of the army council and General Mulcahy. Ireland can only hope for recovery by reassuming the supremacy of Civil Government.— (A. and N.Z.) BODY TO RETURN HOME. FREE STAtIFsYMPATHY.
