AN EASY WIN. N.S.W. DEFEATS AUCKLAND. Auckland, Mar. 24.—New South Wales beat Auckland by an innings ind 27 runs. Smith was unable to play to-day, owing to an injury received on Saturday. Allcott and Rountree carried the score to 198, when the latter was yorked by the fast bowler, Everett. Coates was last man, and three runs later he was also yorked by Everett, and the innings closed for 202—Allcott (not out) 44; Rountree, b Everett, 4; Coates, b Everett, 3; sundries, 17. Everett took three wickets for 29 runs, Hendry one for 34, Macartney one for 10, Mailey two for 92, Punch none for 20.—(P.A.) PIBATES CLUB.
