GET RICH QUICK.
A GERMAN IDEA. TO BEAR THE FRANC. (Press Association—Copyright.) New York, Sept. 21.—Another extraordinary get-rieh-quiek scheme was revealed when a stock brokerage house of German affiliation sent circulars to 1000 German-Americans, asking them to combine in a movement to undermine the financial position of France, through causing the downfall of France and thereby assuring French withdrawal from the Ruhr. Circulars declare that “this is the opportunity to recoup your Iqsses from the fall of the mark and at the same time achieve the patriotic goal.” The firm undertakes, on the basis of a per cent margin, to sell for its customers francs, subject to future delivery. The firm states that the franc, which is now selling at 5% cents, must continue to decline, and these sales for future delivery ,if in sufficiently large quantities, will force francs away down. Thus customers selling francs for 51 cents, and delivering when francs are quoted at 1 cent, will make many hundreds per cent. (A. and N.Z.)
