(Received 9.15 p.m.) Melbourne, March 15.—At the Criminal Appeal Court the application of Colin Ross for a re-hearing was commenced, the ahief grounds of the application being that the Judge should have instructed the jury that it was possible to return a verdict of manslaughter, and should have uttered a warning as to the dangerous and suspicious nature of some of the evidence.—(A. and N.Z.)
