MASTERTON CLUB. The annual meeting was held on Saturday evening, when there was a fair attendance of members. The following officers were elected for 1922:—Patron, J). Guild; president, R. J. Barton; secretary and treasurer, A. Clemas. Matters of general interest were discussed and dealt with. It was decided to energetically support the Association in connection with the intended issue of a congress book covering the Dunedin and Auckland congresses, members learning with pleasure that Messrs Mackay. Mason and Keeling were undertaking the joint editorship. The night of meeting was altered to ■Wednesday, the season to open with a social evening on the first Wednesday in April. Plans and arrangements were discussed for vigorously prosecuting both internal and inter-club play during the coming season, it being unanimously agreed to support both the Kostrich visit and Conterbury inter-tlub tourney schemes.
A club championship match is to be made the premier club match, and to occupy players’ first attention, after which the Dagg shield and ladder will receive consideration.
A successful and enjoyable season confidently anticipated.
