The funeral of the late Mrs Morrison, senr., took place yesterday afternoon at the Masterton cemetery. There wa B a very large cortege of motor cars, conveying representative men from all parts of the district, as well as from Masterton. Amongst those present were Mr G. R. Sykes, M.P., and Mr A. D. McLeod, M.P., Mr W.i Howard Booth (Mayor of Carterton), Mr J. McGregor, and many other pioneer settlers of the Wairarapa. The chief mourners were Mr Hugh Morrison, the Misses Morrison and Dr. and Mrs F. Bett (Nelson). The pall-bearers were Sir Walter Buchanan, Sir W. Mace, Mr D. Cameron, Mr G. H. Perry, Mr C. F. Vallance and Mr R. Maunsell. The services at the house and at the graveside were read by the Rev. G. T. Brown? M.A., of Knox Church.
