For ages noo, the worl' a' o'er, Men aye could tak' their drink galoro; 'Twas Nature's wye tae dae them guid, An' warm and purify their blude. A guid New Year tae ane an' a; An'tae ycr share may a' guid fa'; May beer an' Scotch be in their ben— A gift frae Providence, ye ken.
