EESULT OP POLLS. The poll for the Masterton Borough Council's loan proposals was held yes-*. ;crday, under ideal weather conditions. However, even the ideal day did not tempt the ratepayers out, and only i small poll was recorded. It is to be •cgretted that the political poll held >n Wednesday somewhat overshadowed .he municipal one, that probably being he principal reason for the little interest taken. Out of a total of over ,'OOO ratepayers, only about COO re--.orded their votes. Thero were about hirty informal votes.
