BUTCHERS' STRIKE

ANOTHER DEMONSTRATION.

(toy telegraph—Press Association) AUCKLAND, Last Night. A demonstration by strikers was made outside a butchers' «hop in Ponsonby Road this afternoon.

A carter was delivering meat, when a crowd of strikers unhitched the traces, and a wordy warfare ensued. Two men were arrested on a charge of insulting behaviour and attempting to prevent a man from following his occupation as a butcher. The men were subsequently bailed out by the president of the Union.
