WAR EXPENDITURE COMMISSION
WILL TAKE EVIDENCE AT J AUCKLAND. |fe| (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Was Expenditure Commission met to-day, but did not take evidence. General Robin stated that he and liis officers would facilitate the work of the Commission. In order to facilitate matters he was prepared to attach, should the Commission so desire it, an officer: - of the Headquarters Staff who might be useful in the giving of information by reason of his knowledge of the working of the different branches. This officer would he handy to give information on the spot. If his suggestion met -with their approval be would nominate Major Andrews. In reply to the Chairman, General Robin said that the officer would bo attached merely for the purpose of supplying information. The Commission agreed to the suggestion, and formally adjourned to meet at Auckland on Monday next to take evidence.
