SEEDY WOOL.
The W'airarapa deputation that waited upon the Right Hon. W. F. Massey this week had no difficulty in convincing the Minister that the present system of treating seedy wools is unfair to the wool-growers, and opposed to the best interests of the Dominion. Mr Massey gave an assurance that arrangements would be made for the re-opening of fellmongery works for the treatment of wools. He'also stated that he would again instruct the Government valuers to value all wool at a. 55 per cent increase on pre-war prices. These assurances will be welcomed by farmers in districts affected by hutewai. But it remains to be seen whether the instructions of the Prime Minister will be given effect to. The announcement regarding the re-opening of fellmongeries will be of special interest to the Wellington Fanners' Meat Company which has suffered considerable loss on account of the centralizing policy adopted m the past.
