MR G UTHRIE TO BE ELEVATED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. ■Following resignation of the lion. A. L. Herdman, U is taken for granted that Mr D. H. Guthrie (member for Oroua) will fill the vacancy. Mr Guthrie will take over the lands portfolio when Mr Massey goes to England, and until then he will take over the Discharged Soldiers' Information Bureau. It i s understood that the Hon. J. A. Hanan will take over tho Polices Department and that Sir Francis Bell will become Attorney-General.
