EKETAHUNA SPRING CATTLE FAIR, The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile, Agency Co., Ltd., report: —We held our spring cattle fair at Eketahuna. on Monday. A large attendance of buyers were present from Manawatu, Auckland, Masterton, Pahiatua, and the local district. A heavy yarding of mostly good quality cattle was j submitted, which met with particularly keen competition throughout the sale, and only two small pens wero turned out unsold. Good 3yr steers made from £9 17s (3d to £lO 17s 6d, coloured do. £7 to £7 6s, Syr steers £7 to £7 15s, coloured do. £4 12s (id to £6 2s, 20-months Hereford steers £6 ss, yearling Hereford steers £3 19s to £5 4s, mixed yearling do. £3 to £1 ss, Syr empty heifers £5 to C's 15s, yearling Hereford heifers £2 15s to £3 10s, 'ight fat cows £9 2s fid, forward ; tore cows £6 to £6 15s, medium do. £5 to £5 12s Gd, cows and calves £5 Ms. THE TALLOW MARKET.
