THE WESTERN THEATRE.
REPORT FROM SIR JOHN FRENCH (Received Last Night, 5.5 o'clock.) LONDON, November 2. Sir John French reports that the enemy on October 29th heavily bombarded the "area east of Ypresu Otherwise the wet and misty weather has made the artillery on both sides loss active during tho last four days. Mining activity continues. The casualties published in. connection with seven German battalions at Loos show that their losses averaged SO per cent.
GERMAN REINFORCEMENTS ARRIVE
(Received La.si 'ght, 5,10 o'clock.) ROTTERDAM, November 2. German reinforcements are reported to be arriving on the western front, including cavalry from the East. ,
