Just after the start, Mountain Knight, St. Carwyno, and Slavculful fell, Mountain Knight breaking his fore-leg. Hadnor and Lornpriore led most of the way. Lcmpriero led into the straight. estcourt .shot out at the distance, but was soon chased by Patrobas. A neck and neck race took place, and there was great excitement at the finish. Patrobas won by half a neck, with a length between second and third. Time, 3min 28} sees. Garlin was fourth, Lardner fifth, Football sixth, and Burrabudeen last.
