BIBLE-IN-SCHOOLS.
Ten or twelve years ago thorp was an agitation in New Zealand iu favour
of introducing the Biblo to our State schools. Tho movement was killed without much ado. During tho last couple of yc:u"s a more vigorous and widespread agitation has been instituted, with tile same object in view. Tin* public lias been afforded an opport un ty of expressing its opinion at tho ballot-box, and the voice of tho people, lias boon unmistakeably again>t a referendum. We suggest that the matter be now allowed to pass out of tho political arena, and that those well-meaning individuals who dos'ro to sec our children instruct od in tho Scriptures should avail themselves of opportunities already afforded. There is no reason why some such system as that in operation in Xels in should not be em-' braced in other parts of the Dominion,
