For the four weeks ended January 31st, the raihvay revenue totalled £3s2,2lß—North Island £198,947, South Island £153,271. For the corresponding period last year, the North Island receipts totalled £IBO,115 and the South Island £148,255. The expenditure last January Avas £224,555 (£125,765 North and £98,707 South) as against £122,968 and £98,50 i respectively last year. The percentage of expenditure to revenue was 73.27. against 68.44 a year.ago.
