A young woman named Julia Decies has been sentenced to seven years' imprisonment for wounding with murderous intent Basil Piffard, a man of independent moans. The couple had lived together in a West End flat for some years. On returning from supper Decies shot Piffard while ho was in bed, permanently injuring his eye, because, she stated, he might. @o to Paris with anoth3i* woman.
