MR STONE-WIGG'S SALE. <Messr.s Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report having conducted 1 a most ■successful sale on behalf of Mr. A. J, Stone-Wigg on. Thursday as follows.: — Thf. attendance wasi satisfactory, al-, though tho inclement weather prevailing in the earlier part, of the day was responsible for tho absence, qf -several intending buyers. The con- . ditioil of the stock .was good, and it was drafted to the aatisfaction of buyers, who operated freely, and excep.tionally good prices resulted.'' The lambs were not good, and 1 tho 2-th' r ewes weto - a-mixed lot'. Tho oldor i ewes, however, were above the averj age. Tho cattle were nicely draft- | od, and of good quality. Business at I auction was animated throughout. THE WOOL MARKET.
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Wellington, have been advised by cable from their office under date 24th inst., aa follows:: —Wool Sales» The third series have been fixed to open on April 28th. The limit for new arrivals, provided the quantity 1m? reached before the eighth day prior to tho opening! of the sales, is 175,000 bales of colonial wool. No wools arriving after that day will be admitted.
