The SRer. S. J. Serpell,**of Masterion, has been elected President of the Wow Zealand Conference of the Methodiat Church. This is the highest office' in the gift of the Church. The Rev. 'He hnrl been playing in the Exhibition Bowlihct Tournament, and was apparently bright and well, when it© was suddenly taken ill. He received medical attention, but died two tours later.
