THE 'FRISCO EXHIBITION.
The New Zealand Government is to be commended for having determined upon the adequate representation •of this Dominion at the great exhibition to be held at San Franciso, next year td commemorate the Opening of the Panama Canal. In recent years a considerable trade in butter, cheese, frozen meat, a,nd other produce: of this country Ms developed on the Pacific Coast of America. v There k every prospect, also, of an important wool trade being clone with the United States in the near future. When the Panama Canal is opened, tjiis Dominion will be Brought closer to the western ports of America than before, and there is eyery reason to anticipate tliat trade between tlio two* countries will" develc?p ©noi"nousTy; In view of this probability, it is right and proper tliat New Zealand should have an exhibit at the Panama Exhibition that wilt demonstrate tlie resourcefulness of the Dominion and bring our potentialities immediately before Ithe millions of people in the United States.
