LAWN TENNIS.
TE NUI v. MUNGAPAKEHA. A very enjoyable day's sport was held at the Te'Nui Club's beautiful grounds on Saturday last when Mungapakeha met and defeated le Nni by 14 games to 9. The day was an ideal one for tennis, the grounds were in excellent condition for play, and some good fast games resulted. The Te Nui players were at rather a disadvantage owing to some of their best players being absent, but nevertheless, it was a fairly evenly-contest-ed-game, and not quite such a "walkover" as the above figures would lead one to believe. A return match W to be played on the Mungapakeha courts at an early date.
