THE WAIRARAPA MEETING.
The "Buchanan Challenge Cup," for the highest aggregate obtained in the Carterton, Masterton, and Wairarapa matches 'at the Wairarapa Rifle Association meeting this week, was secured by S. J. Mayliew, of Makino; with 177 (63-66-48). The winner also gained the gold medal presented by Sir Walter Buchanan. Levin and Co's Cup for highest score in tfie Masterton match, went to Mr J. H. McDonald, Alfredton, with a score of 68. Messrs Lever Bros "Sunlight Challenge Cup for highest score in the Grey town match went to Mr A. Larson, Mauriceville, with a score of 4,8. The "Hidwill Challenge Shield," for the highest aggregate in the. Carterton, Masterton, Greytown, Wairarapa, Petone and Featherston matches, also the gold medal presented by the president, was secured by D. McLeay, Opak;. The "Waldeu" Challenge Cup, for the highest aggregate obtained at the meeting in the Grevtown, Petone and Fcather.ston matches was won by R. A. Wilton, Mauriceville. The "Rivers" Challenge Cup. for the highest aggregate for all shooting at 800 and 900 yards during the. meeting, went" to R. A. Wilton, after a shoot" off with L. Loveday.
