NEW PLYMOUTH, Last Night. Tho Taranaki Agricultural and Stock Metropolitan show opened to-, day. HeaVy rain in the morning affected the attendance. Championships were awarded as follows: Horses.-—Draught mare, champion, J. S. Oiighton; observe eh., J. S. Oughton. Cattle.—-Holstein bulls, champion, Newton King; reserve eh., W. Lovelook. Cows: champion, Newton King. Ayrshires: Bulls, champion, W. Hall ; reserve ch., W. Tait; cow®,, champion, H. Colpman; reserve ch., H. Colpman. Jersey bull, champion, R. P. Petersen ; reserve ch., A. B. Leech; cow, champion, E. Griffiths; reserve .ch., R. J. Linn..
