At a meeting of thirty thousand unemployed it was resolved that the Government must provide wotjk. The crowd afterwards paraded the street shouting, "Let us steal!?' The mob stoned the hospitals, and plundered shops until the & police charged with drawn sabres, grounding several. ; t Many were arrested. i
