COMMERCIAL.
GREYTOWN STOCK SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Mavterton, report having held their usual fortnightly ; sale in their Greytown yards, when there was the usual attendance. Only a small yarding of stock came, forward, and prices realised were as follows: —Coloured yearling heifers £2", £2 15s and £2'l6s; springing heifers to £5 10s.
STOCK MARKET. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd. P.'ihiatua, report on their WqodvilJe .sale held on Monday, 22nd inst., as follows: —We offered a fair yarding of sheep, and a heavy yarding of over throe hundred head of cattle, to a large attendance of ' buyers, and have to report a good clearance at following prices : —Mixed hoggets 10s Id to 10s 4d, empty ewes 13s 6d, mixed yearlings in poor condition £2 4s to £2 os, yearling heifers £2 7s 6cl, fifteen months P.A. cross heifers £3 14s. fifteen months P.A. cross steers £3 16s 6d, fat cows £5 to £6, forward cows £3 10s to £4 3s, store cows 36s to £2 ss, empty heifers £3 s's to £4 10s. We have to report that dairy stock was not much in demand, but [ a good clearance was made at the.undermentioned rates: Backward conditioned eows in milk £4, cows on drop | £4 3s, springing heifers £o 12s Gd, I £6 5s to £6 10s. .
