SHOCKING ACCIDENT.
(By Ttlegraxih.—Prat Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. There was admitted to the hospital to-day a young man named Maurice Maguire ; suffering from shock and serious injuries sustained in an accident at a Woodend flaxmill. Maguire was working in the mill, when his left hand was drawn into the machinery, and his arm torn off just below the shoulder, very seriously lacerating the shoulder also. Br Will, of Rangiora, attended to him, and sent him to town. After the injuries had been attended at the hospital, Maguire was reported as progressing as well as cotild be expected, though still suffering from shock.
