Vardaman ,m'ade a speech in favour of tho anti-negro movement. He advocated lynch law and denoxmced the conditions allowing blacks to work alongside whites. He urged the North and South to stop bickering and unite to save the country from tho blacks. The speech was received with a istorm of protest and cheering.
